The 3PO Index Score is an independent metric developed by Pyrrhic Press to evaluate open-access journals, repositories, and scholarly platforms based on publicly available information. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or influenced by any third-party organizations, publishers, or indexing services such as DOAJ, Google Scholar, or CrossRef.

2. Accuracy & Data Collection
The 3PO Index Score is calculated using a combination of self-reported data, publicly available sources, and our own scoring methodology. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all scores perfectly reflect a journal’s or platform’s actual accessibility, citation impact, or adherence to open-access principles at all times. Users are encouraged to verify information independently.

3. No Endorsement or Certification
A higher 3PO Index Score does not constitute an endorsement, certification, or official validation by Pyrrhic Press. Similarly, a lower score does not imply a lack of academic quality or integrity. The score reflects only the measured openness, accessibility, and transparency based on the criteria outlined.

4. Periodic Updates & Score Changes
3PO Index Scores are subject to updates and revisions based on new data, policy changes, or improvements in methodology. Scores may fluctuate over time as more journals, repositories, and websites are evaluated.

5. Use of the 3PO Badge
Organizations and platforms may display their 3PO Badge to highlight their commitment to open-access principles. However, Pyrrhic Press reserves the right to revoke or update scores and badge eligibility if new information contradicts previously provided data.

6. Feedback & Score Re-Evaluation
If you believe your 3PO Index Score is incorrect or outdated, you may submit a request for re-evaluation with updated supporting documentation via our 3PO Score Submission Form.
