Advisory Board Application

Pyrrhic Press Advisory Board Charter

Purpose:

The Pyrrhic Press Advisory Board ("the Board") is established to provide strategic guidance, expertise, and insights to Pyrrhic Press, with the goal of shaping the vision, direction, and content of the organization. The Board ensures that Pyrrhic Press remains a relevant, insightful, and impactful publisher, serving its audience across various industries and scholarly fields.

Authority:

The Board serves in an advisory role, without direct decision-making authority. Its recommendations and insights will be taken into consideration by Pyrrhic Press in the development and execution of its projects and initiatives.

Composition:

The Board will comprise professionals with diverse expertise and experience relevant to the mission and objectives of Pyrrhic Press. Members are selected based on their demonstrated knowledge, experience, and contributions to their respective fields.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Guidance: Provide direction and advice to Pyrrhic Press on shaping its vision, goals, and content strategy.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Share insights, knowledge, and perspectives on relevant trends in areas such as business, finance, technology, marketing, law, human resources, entrepreneurship, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, ethics, and corporate responsibility.
  • Review and Feedback: Evaluate proposed content, initiatives, and strategies, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Networking and Outreach: Utilize professional networks to identify potential contributors, collaborators, and opportunities to increase the visibility and impact of Pyrrhic Press.
  • Advocacy: Act as ambassadors for Pyrrhic Press, advocating for its mission and values within their respective industries and communities.

Meetings:

The Board will meet regularly, at least quarterly, either in person or virtually, to review strategic initiatives, discuss progress, and address relevant issues. Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed.

Term of Service:

Members will serve a renewable two-year term, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement between the member and Pyrrhic Press.

Conflicts of Interest:

Board members are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to their involvement with Pyrrhic Press and should recuse themselves from discussions or decisions where such conflicts may arise.

Confidentiality:

All discussions, deliberations, and sensitive information shared within Board meetings are confidential and must not be disclosed without explicit permission from Pyrrhic Press.

Amendments:

This charter may be amended with the mutual consent of Pyrrhic Press and the Board, ensuring that any changes align with the Board's purpose and objectives.

Approval:

This charter is approved by Pyrrhic Press and will take effect upon the establishment of the Pyrrhic Press Advisory Board.
